 Dr. Vijay Joshi received his M.D. degree from Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai (Bombay), India. He trained as a resident in internal medicine at Seth G. S. Medical College, Mumbai and then at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, CT. He was then a Chief Resident in the UCONN Internal Medicine Residency Program. He completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at UCONN in 2000. Dr. Joshi was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1997. He was board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in 2000.
He practiced as a diabetologist and Endocrinologist in Mumbai, India for 2 years before starting his practice of diabetes and endocrinology here in New Haven. He is an attending physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Hospital of Saint Raphael. As endocrinologist, he specializes in care of patients with diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid problems as well as other hormonal disorders like hypogonadism, polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance, adrenal and pituitary dysfunction.
